Our Italian Saffiano Leather is a coated leather with a subtle, cross-hatched pattern on its surface. It is a durable and resilient material, resistant to scratching and moisture. For lighter colors in this material, we recommend avoiding exposure to dark denim or other dark fabrics with loose dye, as the leather could be subject to color transfer. If the leather develops any scuffs or marks, we recommend lightly cleaning the surface with a damp cloth or treating the leather with a leather conditioner.
To help maintain the soft structure of our backpacks, pack the inside with paper or bubble wrap before storing them in their provided white cotton dustbag. Never use newspaper, as the color can transfer. Be sure to store the backpack in a temperature-controlled environment, since sunlight or extreme heat can cause the leather to dry out, fade or crack. After you have cleaned your backpack, allow it to air dry completely before storing it. If your bag will be tucked away for a while, open the buckles and straps to prevent impressions in the leather.
Use pouches to store cosmetics, pens, and liquids, which will protect the handbag lining from spills.
Even though our backpacks have metal feet, avoid placing your bag on the floor
Avoid handling your bag if your hands are dirty or have lotion or creams on them.
